People everywhere are hearing a call to awaken, to be part of transformational shift that is engulfing our beautiful planet Earth. The sleeping giant we call feminine power is arising in our awareness after centuries of  masculine energies dominating our world.

Women and men together are rediscovering this feminine aspect of power, and are recognizing in it the potential to co-create our world.

You will know if you are experiencing the awakening if you find yourself feeling that there must be “something more” to life. You may be longing to express your gifts and talents more fully and allow yourself to contribute to the world. You may be longing to move from a sense of being alone to finding deep and meaningful connections with others. You may be hearing a call from deep inside yourself that you are meant to do something big, and yet you may not know what that is, or how to open it up.

We have worked hard to gain positions of influence

Since the rise of Feminism in the 1960’s women have been finding their place in the world outside the home. Western women are better educated than ever before, and many of us are raising families on our own. Women are in leadership positions all over the globe. Women have represented the United States as leaders of foreign policy by serving as Secretary of State under both Republican and Democratic Presidents. Germany, Thailand and many other countries are led by female leaders.

But despite unprecedented influence,
many women are deeply unhappy

We have attained many of the goals established by those first feminist leaders. We wanted to be the equals of men. Many of us have broken through that outer glass ceiling and are now in the executive suite, but few of us are enjoying this power now that we have it. We are working harder and enjoying life less.

If you are one of those women, if you are feeling more worried than ever, or more depressed, you are not alone. Many studies have discovered this sad truth: succeeding in a man’s world is not the cure for unhappiness that we thought it would be.

You may have all the trappings of success: an impressive title, a great income, the car of your dreams, the home you always wanted. You may have the family you once could only imagine. You may “have it all” but it is not enough. If you feel this way, you are not alone.
And in a way, this is good news. If the masculine dream of success satisfied you, you might not be motivated to look beyond, to listen to that still, small voice that is urging you on. You might continue to ignore the intuitive whispers of your heart.

We feel the call of destiny

Your highest potential is calling to you. The inherent greatness of your authentic self will not settle for less than you bringing forth your highest gifts and talents for the benefit of all. There are possibilities for achievement that will not be denied, and recognizing that there is a gap between where you are now and where you can be is painful.

When we look at all we have accomplished we see that no outer obstacles have been able to stop us. There were many barriers, but we broke free time after time. We have experienced our freedom and reveled in it, but somehow we still do not feel powerful. We know there is some potential that we have not yet tapped. There is another step to take. We can feel it.

Women have “made it” in a man’s world,
but there is something more

And there is: love, connection, belonging, intimacy, creative self-expression, aliveness, meaning, purpose and creating a world that is sustainable for our grandchildren’s children’s children!

We look at the world, and we know the old structures are not working. We see institutions that seemed immovable are now crumbling. We see the deep unsustainable imbalance in the way people are living out of harmony with the environment. We know it is crazy to pollute the air we all breathe, the water we all drink, to destroy the rainforest so essential to life on this planet. But how can we possibly make things right when there is so much that is wrong?

Becoming aware of your co-creative power holds
the key to our personal and planetary potential

Co-creative power is the power that is able to balance and complete the masculine power that has dominated our world in modern times. This feminine aspect of power is intimately connected to the earth, and comes from the deep inherent relatedness of all creation. It is a force that arises out of the whole and works for good of all. It is a power awakening in us, and as we learn to recognize it and surrender to it, it transforms the quality of our lives from the inside out.

Co-creative feminine power is rich, chaotic and uncontrollable. It is sourced in an innate wisdom that goes beyond the analytical and strategic thinking that has led to the imbalance we see around us. We cannot control it, but as we learn to trust it and surrender to it, it guides our lives into the things we deeply long for: intimacy, relatedness, creative expression, authentic community and meaningful contribution.

The pioneering research and intensive work by Claire Zammit and Katherine Woodward Thomas with thousands of women from around the world has identified the specific principles, processes and practices by which women can connect into this co-creative feminine power which is already manifesting in their lives, but from an unconscious place.
